The Philosophical Scarf

Agate is a colourful variety of quartz, and was named after the river Achates by Theophrastus, a Greek philosopher and naturalist.

Agate has long been associated with stability, inner strength, and feminine intuition, and as the birthstone for June.

Above all, though, just look at the beauty in that image, and imagine it on silk at nearly a metre and a half wide and high.

It may be philosophical, but it most certainly is beautiful.
